Pitohui is a five piece band from İstanbul. Since their formation in 2012, the band has been diversifying its sound palette. The band consists of Barkın Engin, Berkay Küçükbaşlar, Burak Tamer, Cem Kayıran and Yankı Bıçakçı. While the first releases have built around the improv sessions, 2019's Gallo EP opened a new creative path for the band. You may expect sudden choppings, dazzling patterns and rhythmic lushness. First Pitohui release of 2020, "Foton" will be out on September 4 via Shalgam Records.
